3rd Grade Colorado Characters Research Project

Description:
  1. This was a collaborative project between Ms. Frachetti, teacher-librarian and Mrs. Beckler.
  2. Students learned and used various online resources, including Searchasaurus EBSCO magazine database, Nettrekker--an educational search engine, Britannica Online Encyclopedia and other websites and books to gather specific information to answer guided research questions about their topics;
  3. Students chose a famous person in Colorado history or a composite character to research. Then they created a Fakebook profile page for this person to share their learning.
  4. Students then paired up to learn about each other's characters and ask meaningful (inquiry) questions about them.
